Patricia Rosental
With over 20 years in special education, I have served as a special education teacher, case manager, behavioral support, and self-contained classroom teacher, as well as a Special Education Team Leader for one of the Top 10 Districts in Texas. This extensive experience gives me a deep understanding of how school systems operate—and how to effectively navigate them to support students.
I am an experienced IEP Advocate and graduate of Texas Woman’s University, holding multiple Texas certifications in PK–12 Special Education, EC–12 English as a Second Language, EC–6 Generalist, and 4–8 Generalist and Science.
What sets my advocacy apart is my dual perspective. As both an educator and the parent of a child with special needs, I understand not only the technical side of the IEP process, but also the emotional experience families go through. I know how overwhelming it can feel to sit in an ARD/IEP meeting, interpret complex terminology, and advocate for your child’s needs.
That’s where I come in.
I provide IEP advocacy and family support services, including:
Reviewing IEPs and evaluation reports
Preparing families for ARD/IEP meetings
Attending meetings as your advocate
Translating special education terminology into clear, understandable language
Ensuring your child’s services, accommodations, and goals are appropriate and legally supported
Helping you confidently communicate and collaborate with school teams
My role is to empower you—to ensure your child’s needs are clearly understood, appropriately addressed, and fully supported within the school system. Advocacy is more than attending meetings; it’s about making sure your child has access to the services and opportunities that address their needs.
Together, we will navigate the special education process with clarity, confidence, and purpose—working toward the best possible outcomes for your child.
